Drew Pearce - The History

George II was on the throne and Bonnie Prince Charlie had just fled to France. Britain was entering a time of international expansion and prosperity and it was still 100 years before the advent of the railways was to have such an impact on the West Country.

It is 1748 and what is believed to be the oldest established firm of surveyors still to be trading in the West Country was founded.

In that 250 years, Drew Pearce has known 10 monarchs, 50 Prime Ministers and has witnessed countless wars including the Blitz of 1942 which not only saw the devastation of much of Exeter but the destruction of the firm's Bedford Circus offices and most of the records too.

Now housed in the most gracious of offices in Cathedral Close, Exeter, Drew Pearce has developed from overseeing the management of 18th century agricultural estates into a highly professional firm of Chartered Surveyors known for its reputation for delivering quality solutions to every aspect of commercial and residential property.

A second office was then established in the heart of Plymouth, offering the full range of services, and building upon the work already being carried out within this important city.

The third office to complete the truly regional presence of the firm has now opened in the centre of Taunton, and continues to reinforce the aspirations of the partners to provide their clients with sound professional local and regional expertise in this over-complicated marketplace.
